New Trends For Wedding Party Gifts

Children are the most precious people in this world. But let’s face it, when it comes to dressing them up in a dress or tuxedo, it’s not the easiest job. Trying to get a child to stand still for pictures, walk down the aisle, or stay clean up until the reception can be somewhat of a struggle. Especially if the child does not cooperate. For example, when my sister got married, her soon to be husband decided to put his 8 year old god-daughter as the flower girl. Turns out the little girl did not like wearing dresses, nor was she willing to practice walking down the aisle. That is, until her mom bribed her with taking her to Mc Donalds after the whole event was done.

There’s better ways to have a child cooperate I believe. Why not give them a gift as a “thank you,” for being in the wedding? Lately, I’ve noticed that this is what some brides do to keep the child happy and cheerful throughout the whole event. For instance, why not give them a shirt saying they’re part of the wedding party as well. Why should the grown ups get all the fun stuff? Little kids love to stand out and be center of attention. Giving them a “Flower Girl” shirt not only tells them what role they have, but it will make them feel more involved in the wedding. Or rather than just giving the flower girl a basket and petals, why not give her, her OWN hand bag that says “Flower Girl” on there?

Let’s not forget about the little men in the party. Giving them a ring bearer coloring book, will keep them entertained during the pre-wedding madness. Not only will they have pages to color, but also learn the names of the items that will be used during the ceremony. As cute as the ring bearer may look in his tuxedo, it might not always be the most comfortable thing for him during those summer weddings. Why not try something new? For example, instead of having him complain about wearing pants and a jacket in 90 degrees weather, dress him up in a Eton and Short set. Not only is it comfortable, but you won’t have to worry about him wanting to take the jacket off mid ceremony or have him crying because it’s too hot for him. Most of our styles come with a matching hat, to block the sun off their face for outdoor weddings. Not only is it affordable, but it’s also starting to become the new “it” thing for little men to wear.

Planning a wedding may be hectic and stressful, but let’s try to take some time out of that busy schedule to thank and appreciate the little helpers in the party as well. Just because it’s not their day to shine, doesn’t mean they can’t have the spotlight for that one minute in their lovely outfit.

With all the varieties of items to choose from, it’s no wonder why I loose track of what I’m intentionally browsing for. Shopping online can become a stressful and confusing experience.

This year’s Christmas shopping was one of those difficult online shopping experience for me. In the midst of deciding what to buy for a special someone and browsing through great gifts I’d like to receive myself, I completely forgot who that special someone even was!

Because of personal online shopping experiences like these, Pink Princess has created something really helpful for staying organized; take a look at Pink Princess’s new Flower Girl Checklist now available for printing online! It comes complete with sections for style numbers, color(s), size(s), and measurements. Planning and shopping just got easier!

This Years “In” Colors

My name is Diana, I’ve been a customer service rep at Pink Princess for almost 2 years now. I’ve come to learn how to understand a customer and their needs, and try to understand what it is they’re looking for.

I recently went to the Kids Show at the Bally’s in Las Vegas. It seemed for flower girl dresses, the 3 hottest colors were:
1. Chocolate
2. Chocolate
3. Chocolate

So I decided to buy a lot of chocolate colored dresses. I even bought a suit in chocolate.

Are You Taking Christmas Photos This Year?

Date: Friday December 5, 2008

In the past, malls were usually packed with people during the holidays. There’s usually a long line for little children to take picture with jolly ‘ole Santa Claus. However, I noticed that there aren’t as many Santas around this year and therefore less opportunites for everyone to take their yearly Christmas photos. Times may be hard these days, but that shouldn’t stop us from enjoying the holiday spirit. Everyone seems to own digital cameras nowadays and why not take advantage of your photo taking skills and snap a few hoiday family photos. You can use them for your Christmas photo cards. While taking professional portraits can be expensive, you can easily find an appropriate background in your own home. Take the photo in front of your Christmas tree, or by a decorated snowman. The important thing is to be fun and creative. Make sure you remember to fill the frame with your subject. One common mistake I see is that people end up with shots of the subject too far in the distant and too much unused space on the sides. With children as the main subject, dressing them up in their adorable Christmas outfits can make all the difference. Check out our Pink Princess Gallery too see how others have taken their children’s Christmas dress outfits and made them into memories to last a life time.
