Diana’s Favorite Style of the Month

My favorite style this month is D3160 the 3-Tier Chiffon Sequence Dress, in all 3 colors, Turquoise, Off-White and Yellow. It’s simple but with enough detail at the neckline to stand out. The chiffon makes the dress light and easy to walk around in. Even if she’s not taking part in a special event, she can still wear this dress as a casual outfit.
Ever since I started working at Pink Princes my favorite style has been D1120, which is the Dotted Two Tone Shantung dress in pretty much every color. I like how it has enough detail at the top and a simple solid skirt. The rosebud at the waist gives it that extra dressed up look. I noticed parents tend to order the Red or Burgundy more in the Christmas season, but all the other 6 colors, Coral, Champagne, Lilac, Navy Blue, Olive and Pink are just as pretty for Easter, a Flower Girl, or as a special birthday dress.

Worried about what colors or style type outfit to wear for this year’s Holiday pictures, I started thinking of what I wore last year and the year before, and the year before that. Eventually I found myself drifting to the days when I was a child dressed in what my mom used to consider the trendiest Holiday outfits ever.
My mom dressed me in it all; from the sailor style dresses that almost every one of my cousin also had, to the classic checkered red and black long sleeve dress with plenty of ruffled tulle sticking out the bottom. Almost always these outfits were worn with the heavyweight cotton or laced design tights and black leather shoes that buckled way at the ankle. The giggliest part of all was probably the hair; headbands with a huge organza bow to the side of this big poufy hair due.
As time goes by the styles of the Holidays change a lot and young girls are dressed very modernly. Simple sophisticated ponytails adorned with a little ribbon bow, perhaps even a tiny swirl at the hair tips. Nylons are thinner and hardly worn with lace designs anymore; instead most girls are now dressed with just socks to match their chic dresses. The shoes look more and more like Mommy’s with every new style, chic flats and strappy small heels. The dress styles now have fewer patterns; instead they are made with flocked modern, almost artistic, designs.
Trends have changed since I was a little girl but some of those styles seem to have gained a comeback; like the headband with a big bow to the side. The always stylish Holiday checkered dresses are still sold in high demand almost every year. You can still find those sailor outfits and maybe even pleaded dresses. The designs and material might be different but the black, red, burgundy, sage and even silver and gold colors that were “in” when I was a child, are still popular choices in current Christmas Holiday Dresses.
Who knows what next year’s trends will bring; perhaps we might find tie-dye Capri nylons stylish again… but I hope not.

From blue, to sage, or khaki, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect set for him to wear as well.
Holidays are about spending time with the ones we love. Why not do it while looking fashionable at a reasonable price. We offer a 110% price protection policy just in case you happen to find an item on another web site. But why would you want to look anywhere else with such a big selection we offer? In case you’re not happy with your items, we now offer free returns as well.
Let other customers know how beautiful your child looks by submitting a picture in our Princess Gallery section as well. We pride ourselves in knowing we put a smile not only a child’s face, but on a parent as well.
In the past, malls were usually packed with people during the holidays. There’s usually a long line for little children to take picture with jolly ‘ole Santa Claus. However, I noticed that there aren’t as many Santas around this year and therefore less opportunites for everyone to take their yearly Christmas photos. Times may be hard these days, but that shouldn’t stop us from enjoying the holiday spirit. Everyone seems to own digital cameras nowadays and why not take advantage of your photo taking skills and snap a few hoiday family photos. You can use them for your Christmas photo cards. While taking professional portraits can be expensive, you can easily find an appropriate background in your own home. Take the photo in front of your Christmas tree, or by a decorated snowman. The important thing is to be fun and creative. Make sure you remember to fill the frame with your subject. One common mistake I see is that people end up with shots of the subject too far in the distant and too much unused space on the sides. With children as the main subject, dressing them up in their adorable Christmas outfits can make all the difference. Check out our Pink Princess Gallery too see how others have taken their children’s Christmas dress outfits and made them into memories to last a life time.
In the past few years, Pink Princess has been focusing our strengths in flower girl dresses. This year, we knew that more and more of our customers were looking for the perfect cute Christmas girls dress or Christmas boys outfit for their little ones during the holiday season. Therefore, we decided to start early and we ended up having the greatest variety in the selection children’s holiday outfits ever.
I compiled a report to see which styles and colors are the best sellers so far. Gold and burgundy seem to be the winner these years as they are the "in" color. Here’s an exclusive look to the top sellers for Holiday 2008 so far:
