Pink Princess 1st Annual Outdoor Photo Shoot

Date: Tuesday July 27, 2010
Posted in: News & Events

Pink Princess held their very 1st outdoor photo shoot this past weekend!

The photoshoot was held at Heritage Park in the city of Cerritos, California.  A total of 11 children participated in this Pink Princess photo shoot,  the largest group so far!

We prepared as much as we could ahead of time but last minute change of plans and missed details are always inevitable. It’s okay though, for being our first time conducting an outdoor photoshoot with a large group of children we actually finished ahead of schedule! At the end of the day the pictures and children looked absolutely adorable! Watching the boys and girls in photogenic action dressed in their best was all worthwhile :)

Our experienced and very talented photographer Jeremy Chou did an amazing job!

Here’s a sneak peek of the final results:

Absolutely charming! Kaden and Danielle show off the trendiest Valentine's Day wedding attire with an innocent spark.

Thank you once again to all of the 11 participants and their families!

Recently on the Pink Princess Facebook fan page, I asked everyone a big question of the day: “Are product photos with models more appealing then ones without? Does it affect if and how you purchase?” I received great feedback and useful responses from the wonderful Facebook fans. It definitely looks like having apparel product photos taken with models are a huge plus. It is important to see how a little girls dress or a boys tuxedo might fall on an actual child rather than just on a mannequin. As a result, Pink Princess will strive to use photos with actual models as much as possible in the near future. Thanks for the input, and stay tunned for a new and improved website design!

Wish Upon A Hero

Date: Thursday May 13, 2010
Posted in: News & Events

Working under the mantra of “No wish too large and no hero too small,” Wish Upon A Hero is a unique site for any individual, organization, or company looking to make a difference in someone’s life, or the lives of countless people.  Motivated by the unforgettable September 11 attacks in New York City and the disastrous Hurricane Katrina that hit New Orleans less than 5 years later; the organization was launched in September of 2007. Wish Upon A Hero created an online community that offered a platform for people to help people.

When a Wisher inquired about the need of a suit and shoes for her Godson who would be part of his Aunt’s wedding, the wish ambassador came across Pink Princess and contacted us immediately. With the wedding scheduled within a short time we quickly processed the order to  ship.  Soon the Black Boys Suit – 5 Piece Suit and Round Toe Cap Boys Dress Shoes were delivered!

“Here is a picture of Jaylen in the suit you donated walking his grandmother down the aisle at his aunt's wedding. Everyone complimented the suit and how nice he looked. Thank you again so much, it meant a lot to us.”

"Thank you SO much again!"

A St. Patrick’s Day at the Office

Date: Wednesday March 17, 2010
Posted in: News & Events

I went around the office and downtown today, taking random shots of those who decided to partake in today’s holiday tradition of wearing green. It’s nice to see everyone, including whole families, striding along in their coolest green shirt. However, believe it or not, there’s more to this Irish holiday than fashion and a pint of Gunniess. Find more history behind St. Patrick’s Day on How St. Patrick’s Day Works.

A few months ago, Pink Princess had the opportunity to contribute a total of 28 party style dresses to the “8th Annual Jazz in January” fund raising event, which included a special performance by Jonathan Butler and Rick Braun. This event is held annually with all the proceedings benefiting the Ocean Institute’s educational programs. This program is created to increase awareness and understanding of the ocean environment to over 100,000 students every year through science, maritime, and outdoor education.

Here are thank you letters from a couple of young children who had the opportunity to experience and benefit from this enriching program…

Letter number 1 reads:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Lacy,

Thank you so much for allowing me to visit the Ocean Institute at Dana Point. It was the first time many of us had seen the Pacific Ocean. We had so much fun looking at Shark’s teeth, and touching starfish and fish. We loved the Octopus and Big Al. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.

Love, Jordy

Letter number 2 reads:

Dear Ocean Institute,

Thank you so much for this opportunity. I loved learning about the Moon Jellies Life Cycle. I liked looking at the plankton on the Shore Lab. Out on the R/V sea Explorer I saw California Sea Lions, I also got to hear different dolphin and whale sounds. I learned all about the Moon Jellies Life Cycle I also learned how big and small they could be. This field trip inspired me to learn more about marine biology so I will do a lot better in school. Thanks again I loved the field trip and can’t wait to go back I had the time of my life!

Sincerely, Alyssa Macias”
