Pink Princess 1st Annual Outdoor Photo Shoot

Pink Princess held their very 1st outdoor photo shoot this past weekend!

The photoshoot was held at Heritage Park in the city of Cerritos, California. A total of 11 children participated in this Pink Princess photo shoot, the largest group so far!

We prepared as much as we could ahead of time but last minute change of plans and missed details are always inevitable. It’s okay though, for being our first time conducting an outdoor photoshoot with a large group of children we actually finished ahead of schedule! At the end of the day the pictures and children looked absolutely adorable! Watching the boys and girls in photogenic action dressed in their best was all worthwhile

Our experienced and very talented photographer Jeremy Chou did an amazing job!

Photoshoot Fun

I’ve been working at Pink Princess for 3 years now and have learned a lot of new things. Like how to create a file for a new item, how to upload it onto the web site, talk to different vendors, purchase items , fulfill orders, the list goes on and on. The point is, these are all things you, as a customer, don’t get to see. We’re kind of just “backstage” of the whole Pink Princess web site. All you see as a customer are the dresses, pictures, testimonies, and all the other fun things we have on there, not really thinking about how long it may take us to put it up for you to see. I didn’t know how to take a picture of an item until I started working at Pink Princess. I just thought we already had them in different files and just had to cut and paste it somewhere. I was WAY off. It’s not just about clicking a button. It involves, steaming the item, placing it on the mannequin, making sure it’s straight, making sure you have the right amount of light, button every button, zip every zipper, tie ever bow, *phew* AND THEN take the picture. Possibly repeat the same process if the same dress comes in different colors. Once that’s done, comes the editing which is another process. Cropping, editing, shading, minimizing, expanding, making sure the picture tone matches the color of the actual dress, it’s another long process. Which again, you, as a customer don’t get to see. This time around, I get to take a step back and see how a REAL professional gets the job done. We’re going to have a photo shoot on July 24, Saturday at a local park in the area. I’m really excited to see how the photographer, Jeremy Chou Photoworks, makes it all happen so we can have higher quality pictures that we can have for our upcoming new and improved Pink Princess web site. We’ve selected the cutest 11 kids in different ages to model some of our New Arrivals, Boys Formal, Baptism and Christening and Flower Girl Dresses. It should be a fun day for everybody involved, even if it means having to be out in the California sun all day. We’re working on SO many new projects and have TONS of great ideas on how to improve Pink Princess. I’m glad I get the opportunity to learn new things as we go along and be able to grow with the company as well.

Apparel Products Photos More Appealing With Models

Recently on the Pink Princess Facebook fan page, I asked everyone a big question of the day: “Are product photos with models more appealing then ones without? Does it affect if and how you purchase?” I received great feedback and useful responses from the wonderful Facebook fans. It definitely looks like having apparel product photos taken with models are a huge plus. It is important to see how a little girls dress or a boys tuxedo might fall on an actual child rather than just on a mannequin. As a result, Pink Princess will strive to use photos with actual models as much as possible in the near future. Thanks for the input, and stay tunned for a new and improved website design!

Something New For Summer

Summer is right around the corner which means Wedding Season. Instead of having your flower girl complaining about having to wear a traditional flower girl dress that can be too long or too hot for her, why not try something new and go with a pettiskirt and start something new. Diana’s Favorite Style for June

We have been getting a lot of new styles lately. I like seeing them in all the colors we get them in and what detail they have on them. My favorite style for the month of June has to be our Ribbon Embroidered Taffeta with Satin Jacket, Dress. It comes in both Ivory and Fuchsia. It definitely caught my eye when I saw it in the warehouse. It’s something totally different from some of the other dresses we have here. I love the ribbon detail on the skirt and the option of having the Satin Jacket on or off for those hot days or outdoor weddings.

The detail on the skirt can also be seen on the sleeves of the jacket as well. I like how it comes with a removable flower on the jacket as well, so it has that extra detail. It’s perfect as a Graduation Dress, or for attending a special event. It’s age appropriate for girl’s size 2-12. It has a tie back sash along with a zipper closure for secure fitting. Your princess is sure to stand out with the one of a kind design.
